When Olongapo-based chemist Faith Constantino and her husband decided they needed a home base in Metro Manila, they approached the market as any scientist might—methodically and thoroughly. “We’d be in Manila regularly to watch concerts, movies and go shopping,” says Faith, “and we would always end up staying in hotels. We decided it was wiser to invest in our own city home, so we looked at many properties.”
Before returning home to the Philippines, Faith and her husband had been based in the cosmopolitan city of Dubai for six years where they became accustomed to the trappings of modern living, trappings they found in DMCI Homes’s Raya Garden.
“I was very impressed by the look and feel of the sales office,” narrates Faith. The clean, contemporary Asian design had the distinct feel of a plush Balinese resort, and its location promised accessibility to the entertainment, shopping and dining hubs Faith and her husband like to frequent. The couple bought a unit in June 2006 and six months later, moved in to their city home where they stay up to a week at a time.
“Being here is like being on vacation,” Faith says. “I get to enjoy some privacy, I can turn my music on to high volume, or, if I need to go online, I can just go to the clubhouse for free Wi-Fi connection.”
It’s apparent, from her look of contentment, that she has found her own private hideaway in the city.
