DMCI Homes honored for supporting Parañaque socialized housing initiatives

The Local Housing Development Office of Parañaque City has recognized DMCI Homes President Alfredo Austria for the company’s support of the city’s socialized housing initiatives. 

Butch Mendizabal, DMCI Homes' Corporate Communications Manager, accepted the plaque of appreciation on behalf of Mr. Austria from Parañaque City officials led by Mayor Eric Olivarez during the flag-raising ceremony at the Parañaque City Hall last October 14, 2024. 

“The City Government of Parañaque Local Housing Development Office presents this plaque of appreciation to Alfredo R. Austria in recognition of your benevolent contribution and unwavering commitment to socialized housing programs as the President of DMCI Homes,” the commendation stated. 

“Your dedication and selfless service has made an impact in uplifting the lives of the duly marginalized and underprivileged constituents of Parañaque,” it added. 

In partnership with Gawad Kalinga, DMCI Homes through its Kaakbay sa Pamayanan Corporate Social Responsibility helped build homes for 93 families in the Manggahan Kawayanan Village, located in the 2.7-hectare Green Marcelo community in Sucat. 

The houses, measuring 20 to 25 square meters, can be expanded with a second floor, providing families secure and comfortable living spaces.
