Ortigas to Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in just 12 minutes?
This has just become a reality with the opening of the Kalayaan Bridge which connects the Cities of Pasig and Mandaluyong to BGC in Taguig City.
The completion of the bridge, which forms part of the BGC-Ortigas Road Link Project, is projected to cut travel time between Pasig City or Mandaluyong City and the BGC to just 12 minutes.
Standing to directly benefit from the new infrastructure are the future residents of DMCI Homes existing projects in Pasig and Mandaluyong most especially Brixton Place, a two-tower development, that is scheduled to welcome its first batch of move-ins this 3rd quarter of 2021.
Brixton Place stands just before the entry and exit points of the infrastructure also known as Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge. The bridge was inaugurated last June 12 in time for the celebration of the Philippines’ 123rd Independence Day.
Units at the development’s first tower, the 46-storey Brent building, are currently being prepared for the start of turnover this September.
The second tower, Weston, on the other hand, is targeted for turnover in May 2022.
Launched in 2016, the project instantly became a hit among end-users and investors because of its excellent location near business centers, malls, prestigious schools, medical institutions and transportation hubs.
Brixton Place’s location provides residents an advantageous takeoff point going to key areas in the metro such as Ortigas, Makati, Bonifacio Global City, Manila, Greenhills and Quezon City.
Apart from Brixton Place, residents of other DMCI Homes’ move-in ready projects like Sheridan Towers and Lumiere Residences in Pasig and Flair Towers - condos for rent in Mandaluyong City - are also expected to benefit from faster travel due to the improved transportation network.
Also expected to gain from the new infrastructure when they are ready for occupancy are Allegra Garden Place, Prisma Residences and Fairlane Residences, which are under construction in Pasig City.
All these projects offer an excellent takeoff point going to BGC, Ortigas, Mandaluyong, Pasig or Makati via C5, Kalayaan Avenue, EDSA, Pasig Boulevard, and now the Kalayaan Bridge.
Convenient travel aside, the improved transportation network is also expected to lead to the increase of property values on said areas.
With easier and faster travel around the metro, property consultancy firm Colliers International Philippines sees the property sector hugely benefiting from the implementation of infrastructure projects such as the Clark Airport Modernization, BGC-Ortigas Link Bridge, MRT-3 Rehabilitation, MRT-7, MRT-LRT Common Station, LRT-1 Cavite Extension, LRT-2 East Extension, and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).
“The implementation of infrastructure projects has the potential to raise property values, create business opportunities, and boost the attractiveness of integrated communities outside the capital region,” Colliers Philippines said in a previous report.
Brixton Place is one of the developments of DMCI Homes, the country’s first Quadruple A real estate developer known for building quality resort-inspired communities in Mega Manila, Baguio, Boracay and Davao City.
