Rosary Reyes, a clinical project manager at a multinational pharmaceutical firm, and her husband used to live in an apartment building. Until one day, a friend of hers, who lives at Cedar Crest, a DMCI Homes residential project in Acacia Estates, Taguig, convinced her of the advantages of owning her own place, instead of renting it.
Her friend eventually introduced Rosary to an agent who offered her a unit at Maple Place, also in Acacia Estates.
Fast forward to more than a year after they moved into Maple Place, Rosary is still amazed at how the unit turned out to be their ideal home.
Living in the three-building mid-rise condominium, she says, is very convenient: “It is surrounded by restaurants, groceries, mall. It is near hospitals and the City Hall.”
The location is also close to top schools, parks, leisure zones, and business districts in the neighboring areas of McKinley Hill, BGC, and Makati City, making it a preferred living destination among homebuyers.
Fresh air
Their new home also served them well during the pandemic as it allowed them to breathe fresh air and have the feel of nature without leaving the city.
“We believe that it is our destiny to live in Maple Place in Acacia Estates,” she exclaims.
“It was a dream come true! We were very excited because we really like the ambience, the vibes in Acacia Estates community. The lines of trees as you drive inside Acacia Estates, the sound of birds in the morning, the quietness of the area at night, and the feeling of being close to nature, away from the hustle and bustle of city living.”
On top of that, they immediately began to love the neighbors: “My husband and I also appreciate the fact that our neighbors are professionals. We love that our kids are exposed to our neighbors who inspire them to do better in school.”
Quiet time
Maple Place is composed of just three mid-rise buildings, which means a smaller number of people share the spacious lobby and garden that follow DMCI Homes’ famous resort vibe.
It’s perfect for those who want a lot of space, and a lot of quiet time. Plus, Rosary says, she and her family feel secure knowing that there are two security checkpoints in the area.
Rosary notices that the building design, the outdoor layout, and the lobby—including the furniture—are all aligned with the boutique-resort-hotel theme of Maple Place. “The look and feel are very similar to Intercontinental Hotel,” Rosary opines.
“I am impressed with the elegant furniture at the lobby. I am also impressed that the design and concept are well thought out. There is no space that I cannot find useful. The unit layout is also great because it does not have the feel of me living in a building or in a closed space. It is also good for those who are claustrophobic.”
Open Spaces
The atriums, she says, have been helpful in allowing for better airflow, especially during the pandemic, where proper ventilation is a necessity. The balcony, she adds, gives them the feeling of being “outside” even during the lockdown.
“The open spaces inside the community were helpful, too. Maple Place has this resort feel so even if you are not able to go out, you do not feel isolated,” she points out.
Recently, her favorite spots are the swimming pool, which is perfect for summer; the gym, to stay fit and healthy; and the spacious lobby, which she says is “a great place to unwind, sit, relax, and spend a few minutes away from work.”
For Rosary, buying this unit was one of the best decisions she and her husband have made in their life. And for that, she gives tips to those who are planning to purchase their own unit.
“They should choose DMCI Homes. DMCI Homes is experienced in building condominiums, in managing our properties, and in keeping the community vibe in each condominium,” says Rosary.
“They also need to ensure that their broker or agent is knowledgeable and is not just concerned with selling the unit to get their commission. We are fortunate that our agent really looked after our best interest when we bought the unit,” she reveals.
