The top management of Quadruple A developer DMCI Homes recently led the groundbreaking ceremony for Kalea Heights, the company’s first residential condominium project in Cebu City.

Present during the event at the Kalea Heights project site in Barangay Guadalupe were DMCI Group Chairman Isidro Consunji and DMCI Homes executives, led by President Alfredo Austria.

Kalea Heights, a 4.6-hectare development with 3.6 hectares of open space, is scheduled to begin the turnover of units in December 2029. An additional 1.5 hectares of open space at the towers’ roof-decks with breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape also await residents when the project is completed.

Like its projects in Metro Manila and other key cities across the country, Austria emphasized DMCI Homes' commitment to delivering Kalea Heights on time.

A lot of developers have been used to not delivering on time but in DMCI Homes, we take this commitment seriously. This is, of course, because engineering and construction are in our DNA. We take pride in delivering our projects on time,” said Austria in reference to DMCI Homes being the real estate arm of diversified engineering conglomerate DMCI Holdings, Inc.

Kalea Heights’ expansive site—divided into four districts namely Dawn, Dusk, Summit, and Azure—is equivalent to almost three times the size of Cebu's Fuente Osmeña Circle and more than twice the size of the Cebu Provincial Capitol and the Mactan Shrine. (Artist’s illustration of the Leia Building)

First to be launched is the 41-storey Leia Building, offering a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with generous sizes ranging from 29.5 square meters (sqm) to 88.5 sqm.

Austria also underscored DMCI Homes’ commitment to serving Cebu’s property market for the long term.

He said that Kalea Heights is just one of the many projects DMCI Homes plans to build in the Queen City of the South.

“We hope to stay here for a long, long time, to be doing projects continuously within Cebu,” Austria said.

Kalea Heights is one of the developments of DMCI Homes, renowned for building quality resort-inspired communities in Mega Manila, Baguio City, Boracay, and Davao City. Each of its properties is built with world-standard craftsmanship borne from D.M. Consunji Inc.’s over 70 years of expertise in the construction and development industry.
