The HomeReady™ program offers a rent-to-own option for individuals and families who are considering investing in a real estate. Under the program, prospective homebuyers can live in that unit as renters first, with an option to buy the property at a later time. A portion of the rent they paid will then be considered as initial payments for the total property price.

Over 700 units across DMCI Homes properties nationwide form part of the HomeReady™ program, giving future homeowners the chance to explore which property and location is best suited for them.

If they do make the decision to purchase the unit, HomeReady™ lessees face the convenience of no longer having to move their stuff out of one property and into another since they already call the space their home.
No wasted rent
DMCI Homes’ HomeReady™ program is an excellent way to make the most out of a renter’s monthly rental payments.
Rather than keep shelling out cash to pay the landlord, at least 60% of the rental fees paid will be credited as part of the down payment to acquire a condo unit.
There’s no pressure on the renters to commit to buy the unit right away, too. Tenants are under a lease-option agreement where they pay a monthly rent. Later on, they can choose to purchase the unit if they find the property to their liking. This way, there is greater flexibility for a renter.
It’s a win-win situation: if the renter decides that their lifestyle isn’t compatible with that unit, they are not constrained to pay off a years-long mortgage that they signed too early. If they do find that they enjoy condo living, they can channel a big chunk of their past payments as their first investment for their new home. No money is wasted.
Should residents decide to buy the unit, their rent under the HomeReady™ program will form part of the down payment that’s equivalent to the 10% of the unit’s contract price. The balance may be financed through a bank loan or in-house financing.
