Residents of DMCI Homes condominium projects continue to find ways to help each other and contribute to their communities in spite of difficulties and limitations brought about by the pandemic.
Showing the true meaning of community spirit, residents of The Amaryllis, Stellar Place, and The Redwoods projects in Quezon City eagerly volunteered to help facilitate the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination in their respective communities in coordination with the Quezon City local government.
Medical resident volunteers that include doctors and nurses helped in the assessment and screening of the vaccines while non-medical resident volunteers provided support to the Property Management Office (PMO) personnel and barangay workers in ensuring an orderly vaccination process.
Medical resident volunteers who are trained vaccinators also helped administer the COVID-19 vaccine like The Redwoods resident, Joan Tolentino.
Joan said volunteering for the vaccine rollout is her little way of helping her community ensure that every resident is safe and well.
“I feel great satisfaction being able to contribute even in a small way as I was able to put to good use the talent and resources God has provided me,” Joan who is a nurse by profession said.
She added that volunteering is her way of connecting with her fellow residents amid the limitations of the pandemic.
“Volunteering for the activity has also gained me new friends among The Redwoods staff as well as my fellow residents,” Joan beamed.
In partnership with the Quezon City local government, The Redwoods and Stellar Place rolled out their vaccination drive for residents and community service personnel under the A1 to A4 categories last July 24. The Amaryllis, on the other hand, held their first dose vaccination activity last July 3.
DMCI Homes’ Property Management Offices (PMOs) continue to work with host local government units for the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine in its communities.
