DMCI Homes employees and residents of the company’s condominium communities recently organized donation drives to help provide relief for areas affected by typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.
At the DMCI Homes Corporate Center in Makati City, employees held a three-day donation drive to raise financial assistance and needed supplies such as canned goods, instant noodles, rice, boxes of bottled water, hygiene materials, face shields, and face masks.
The donated items were turned over last November 20 to the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. in Novaliches, Quezon City and the Eco Disaster Management Team of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned in Marikina City for distribution to various evacuation centers in the Bicol region and Marikina City.
Zinnia Towers In-Kind Donation Drive
Residents of Zinnia Towers community in Quezon City together with the Property Management Office, on the other hand, initiated an in-kind donation drive for typhoon-hit communities in Legazpi, Albay and Baras, Catanduanes.
The donation drive led by residents, Marlon Embuscado and Monette Telan, were able to raise food supplies, boxes of bottled water, and pre-loved clothes.
The donations gathered from November 9-19 were turned over last November 21, 2020.
La Verti Residences and Arista Place’s Donation Drive
Residents of La Verti Residences in Pasay City and Arista Place in Parañaque City meanwhile joined hands to respond to the call for help of those affected by typhoon Ulysses in Montalban, Rizal and Marikina City.
Arista Place held their own donation drive and had the donated items delivered to evacuation centers through the La Verti Residences community.
Care & Good News, a group of residents in La Verti Residences, together with the Community Development Council and Property Management Office raised funds to buy needed supplies such as drinking water, food, beddings, and slippers for children.
The items were distributed in evacuation centers in Montalban, Rizal and Nangka, Marikina last November 15 and November 22, 2020 respectively.
“Although weary and faint with the preparations while juggling the week’s workload, nothing can replace the joy of seeing our beneficiaries lifted up with hope,” said one of the donation drive’s organizers, Ms. Estelle Gregorio, after their outreach activity in Nangka, Marikina last Sunday, November 22.
