Grateful homeowner gives back by contributing to the development of condo community

Fresh from retiring from corporate work seven years ago, Ms. Jinggay Sancianco was looking to invest in a new home where she can savor the fruits of her hard work in her long-time career.

Looking back seven years later, Jinggay is more convinced than ever that investing part of her retirement pay in Siena Park Residences was one of the best decisions she has ever made.

"It's like God placed me here because I made good use of my talents and my vast experiences in my career to contribute to the development of the community," Jinggay shared. 

Acting as residents' representatives, Community Development Council members work with the Property Management Office (PMO) to implement programs that aim to enhance the living standards of the community.

"As Community Development Council members, we recommend projects to the PMO for the enhancement of the living condition of Siena Park," Jinggay related.

"We are partners with them (PMO) in the implementation of rules and regulations that bound the community itself. Every year, we also recommend events which we think the community will really love," she added.

With the PMO and Community Development Council working together as partners, residents of Siena Park Residences have enjoyed living in a thriving community where everyone treats each other like family. 

At Siena Park Residences, residents also enjoy numerous community development activities especially before the coronavirus pandemic.

From simple get-togethers at the Clubhouse; traditional fiesta during summer; Santacruzan during May; trick or treat during Halloween; colorful Christmas and yearend parties; outreach programs for numerous beneficiaries; to simple bazaars and community fairs, these activities have certainly helped foster camaraderie among residents through the years.

During the pandemic, the PMO and Community Development Council continued to engage residents with community activities while adhering to health and safety protocols. These include a community bazaar and online caroling during Christmas last year; Father's Day treat; Dog Fair;  Halloween Bazaar and Trick or Treat; New Normal Bazaar; and measles vaccination. 

“I feel proud of course because somehow I played a part. As a Community Development Council member, I’m proud that I played a part in making our community better. I can call our community an ideal community. It’s not only safe but it’s also fun to live here,” Jinggay proudly shared.

“I've been living here for seven years and the people have become more comfortable with each other. Talagang parang pamilya mo na sila. Pamilya na talaga kami. We got each other's back,” she beamed.
