Chairman Isidro Consunji thanks DMCI Homes employees for a year of feats

 DMCI Holdings, Inc. Chairman Isidro A. Consunji has expressed his gratitude to DMCI Homes employees for a year of feats for the country’s first Quadruple A developer in 2017.

In a speech during the company’s Christmas party at The Tent in Acacia Estates, Taguig last December 15, Consunji said 2017 has been a very good year for DMCI Homes which exceeded its sales and reservation target by 53 percent.

“I just want to thank all of you. This year has been a very good year. I think, we hit almost all targets in almost all aspects,” Consunji said.

“I hope we will do more feats. We had many undertakings this year. We’ve been all over the country. Perhaps next year we will have more joint ventures, different styles that have been very successful. So keep it up,” he added amid the cheers of employees.

DMCI Homes posted Php38.9 billion in sales and reservations this year- 53 percent higher than its sales target of Php25.5 billion for 2017.

The property arm of DMCI Holdings, Inc. also completed 19 buildings, four of which were turned over a year ahead of their respective target ready for occupancy (RFO) schedule.

It was indeed a night to remember for the company which began with a mass and an audio-visual presentation tribute to the DMCI Group founder, the late Engineer David M. Consunji.

Marking its 18th foundation anniversary, DMCI Homes also showed appreciation to its personnel and officers, giving out service awards to 29 employees as well as employer awards to chairman Consunji and DMCI Homes Treasurer Edwina Consunji Laperal.

The company also gave recognition to employees who helped make DMCI Homes be known as a builder of high quality, best value homes and resort-inspired communities.

Chosen as recipients of the Marketing Excellence Awards are Floyd Ban, property manager of Mahogany Place 3; Edilyn Perez, property manager of Zinnia Towers; and Cherry Lyn Dataylo, project-in-charge of Sheridan Towers.

Recognized for ensuring quality landscape maintenance in DMCI Homes projects are: Flair Towers (Best in Landscape Maintenance Award); Arista Place (1st runner up); and Verawood Residences (2nd runner up).

On the other hand, DMCI Homes employees showcased their artistic side in the company's various inter-department competitions with nautical Christmas as theme.

Adjudged as Best in Christmas Decor is Interior Design, followed by Business Development (1st runner up) and Documentation and Inventory Control (2nd runner up).

Reclaiming their throne in the Best in Costume category after a one-year hiatus are the personnel of Marketing Department who showed up as Pirates of the Caribbean complete with their own version of the mystical sea creature Kraken. Project Development and the Documentation and Inventory Control departments placed second and third, respectively.

The first edition of the DMCI Homes Got Talent competition, meanwhile, got praise from no less than the DMCI Holdings, Inc. chairman who was visibly impressed with the performances of the 10 finalists.

“You changed the format of the competition this year and I initially thought it would be a letdown. It really proves that we have a lot of creative talents here. You’re not just doing good in your work, I think you can also excel in show business,” Consunji said amid laughter and applause from the crowd.

Crowned as the first DMCI Homes Got Talent grand winner was the AM CREW of the Design and Engineering Department. Tenebris Provoli of the Documentation and Inventory Control and the PDCAT Dolls of the Project Development department finished second and third, respectively

Serving as a highlight of the night is a surprise number of DMCI Homes executives led by President Alfredo R. Austria who delighted employees with their sleek dance moves.
