Residents of Zinnia Towers, DMCI Homes condominium community in Balintawak, Quezon City, has developed a convenient way to do market and pharmacy errands without leaving their homes while the Enhanced Community Quarantine is in effect.
The project dubbed as "MagsaBUY/PasaBUY" was initiated by the Zinnia Towers Community Development Council and the condominium’s Property Management Office (PMO) to help residents especially the elderly buy necessities and needed medications while staying in their respective units.
All they need to do is to leave a comment with their requests in the Zinnia Towers community Facebook Page from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. so that fellow residents who are going to the supermarket, public market, or pharmacy on that day can buy the items for them.
With their trips outside the condominium minimized, residents are able to follow diligently the national government's directive of staying at home which is key to “flattening the curve” of cases of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) disease.
"Hahanap sila ng neighbor na willing 'magsaBUY' sa needs nila. Or kung may resident na pupunta sa grocery, sasabihin naman niya," 'baka may gustong mag-pasaBUY', " explained Zinnia Towers Property Manager Mike Apostol.
"It's one way of showing 'malasakit' to their neighbors and also a display of the 'bayanihan spirit' in our community," he said.
