DMCI Homes receive recognition from the Philippine Red Cross at the recently held Partners In Service, a recognition, kick-off and fund-raising event, attended by PRC Rizal Chapter volunteers, donors and partners.
Joining the hundreds of volunteers, organizations, schools, and corporations, DMCI Homes and its employees have extended its service as one of the partners of the biggest humanitarian organization in the country by participating in its Safety Services Training.
DMCI Homes required its employees to participate in the Safety Services Training conducted by PRC Volunteers. The Safety Services training is composed of modules like Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation training, First Aid training and Disaster Management. The company has also organized a Corporate Emergency Response team to train them as front-runners during emergencies. Participating in these training makes the company and its employees be aware of what to do, and be well-equipped with things necessary, should an emergency disaster strike.
Inculcating the PRC motto, "Always first. Always ready. Always there," the company also plans to extend its training to its project sites, and to its homeowners as well. Some of the projects have started these training as part of their community's fire and earthquake drills.
Chairman of PRC Rizal Chapter Alfred Burgos Jr. showed his appreciation to their partners and donors, saying, "You allowed us to touch the lives of thousands of people and gave hope through the services we are providing. We would like to give our sincerest gratitude to all of you, our donors and partners for the hope you have provided to others thru the Philippine Red Cross." PRC Rizal Chapter is one of the leading groups in their organization.
Also joining the event was Former Senator Richard "Dick" Gordon, Chairman of the Philippine Red Cross who explained the importance of donors and partners in the organization, saying, "Kapag wala kayo, walang Red Cross. That's why we have universality and unity." He also promoted their upcoming fund-raising event, the Million Volunteer Run, which has sparked participation from more donors, partners, and volunteers in the event.
The Safety Services Partners recognition was received by DMCI Homes Senior Manager for Marketing and Customer Care, Jan Venturanza, awarded by the PRC Rizal Chapter Executives.
The Partners in Service event was held at the Manila Polo Club on August 6, 2015.
